Bio

My name is Gabrielle

Philly born and raised, I’m a wife, textiles artist, photographer, and cat-mama to three unique, hilarious, and snuggly fur-babies. I have also been a writer for most of my life.

As a child, I was raised in an emotionally and physically abusive, religious home that lasted into my early adulthood. Now, as a grown woman well into my 30s, I have decided to share my story, not just to bring awareness to my own experience, but also inspire others to share their stories as well.

Abuse is NEVER OK in any capacity and if you or someone you know is being abused, report it to your local government resources available or tell someone you trust. You can also call the National Domestic Violence hotline at 800-799-SAFE (7233) for assistance and resources.

According to the CDC, roughly 1 in every 7 children experiences child abuse or neglect. Statistics for child abuse in the US has increased times 5 since the start of the pandemic in 2020, and this only accounts for abuse that is actually reported.

In 2020 alone, over 1,700 children succumbed to injuries at the hands of parents or adults in charge.

If you see something, SAY SOMETHING.
